Designed and presented by Peter Barker (the ‘HB Anorak’), it will provide people involved in this complex area of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit with a good understanding of the key rules and legal aspects when dealing with a claims from recent arrivals / persons from abroad. Arguably the most knowledgeable and experienced trainer in this topic, Peter will clarify the different issues that are involved when dealing with claims from this client group, many quite complex, and explain who is entitled to make a claim and who is not.
The Workshop is aimed at staff with a reasonably good prior knowledge of Housing Benefit issues. By means of presentations, discussions and exercises our presenter will provide a fact-filled and rewarding day covering the most up-to-date information available.
Note:This Workshop provides a good overview of all the key HB issues for claimants entering the country from anywhere abroad. However, it is an extensive and complex subject area which means that we also offer more detailed one day courses on this topic – “HB Issues For Persons From European Countries” and “HB Issues For Claimants From Non-European Countries”.
